Women work with me all over the globe. Typically, a client relationship will begin with them reaching out via my website to start a conversation about what working with me “looks like”. What they really want to know is what will I experience when I work with you physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. And in the end, what benefit will I receive from the work we do together?

These are all questions you should be asking anyone you work with in this arena. The work that I do with my client is life-changing work. It is not to be taken lightly, nor is it to be ventured into with just anyone. For that reason, I want to give you a really solid image of what you might experience during our work together.

One of the most important parts of the process when we do this work together is taking the time to stop and celebrate milestones that you have achieved. Traumas that you have healed or are in the process of healing can use up an enormous number of resources. If you’ve spoken with anyone who has done trauma work, what you have probably heard them say is some version of this: “It was painful, but it was so worth it! If after reading through this blog, you would like to work with me, I encourage you to drop me a note.

The Cycle Begins

My friends, the cycle begins when trauma happens. We are born magnificently – a clean slate upon which our supposed gate-keepers and protectors are supposed to guide us in love toward our purpose. Unfortunately, our society has taught hundreds of generations of humans to just suppress their trauma and emotions surrounding that trauma for the sake of saving face, saving the reputation of family members or friends – or they simply don’t know how to deal with the trauma because they have never been taught to deal with their own. And so, we end up with heaps of generational trauma that is passed on through actions, lack of actions and even at a cellular (genetic) level.

Many people view this trauma work as a sort of new-age spiritual path. While it can indeed be a spiritual experience, the methods I use are absolutely backed by science. If you were to do a search for the “cellular memory” I referenced in the last paragraph; You will find a multitude of studies around that very subject. The PEMS (Physical, Emotional, Mental, Spiritual) Course that I created is a life-changing system that carefully balances neuroscience, biology, physiology, quantum physics, quantum mechanics, psychology and more. If you would like to experience a small piece of what it is like to work together, I encourage you to try this fee-free Intro to PEMS

At the very core of all of us, we are energy. Learning how to work with that energy instead of constantly pushing against it is imperative to the work that we will do together. Since energy is a large part of science, it only makes sense that it should be a large part of what I teach you to tap into. As you are searching for a trauma “healer”, you must protect yourself and your subconscious by asking all of the right questions. If the above sciences do not get addressed by the person you are interviewing, it is my firm suggestion that you keep searching.

The Healing Work

Healing looks incredibly different based on the client I work with. For some we gently let our higher consciousness guide us to places where trauma may have occurred. In my work, I teach my clients to learn through the symbols that nature sends us when we most need messages. There is no right or wrong way to get to healing when we work together.

Generally speaking, I am the guide to all of the “past” moments in your life that need tending to and ultimately, healing. I am referred to as The Guide to the Frontier Inside because I take you through what your subconscious has painted as your inner landscape. Sometimes we have to visit those landscapes multiple times before we are allowed to really release trauma and sometimes it happens nearly instantaneously.

You might be wondering what all this “Frontier Inside” stuff is, so let me share.

Licia Berry Step Out of Darkness

The Frontier Inside is the place we visit where we find the answers – or even the questions we need to ask ourselves. “What went wrong?” “How did we end up here?” “Why am I even here?” “Why do I react like this every time he _________. It just doesn’t make sense!” All of these questions and more can be answered by knowing how to really look for the answers… And the answers can all be found inside of you. Just like my answers have been found and continue to be found inside of me.

Consciousness seems to be the latest buzz word when it comes to spirituality and consciousness is important, but it’s not the mystical beast it’s been made out to be. In school, you may have studied subjects such as biology and psychology. In those classes, we learned that when we are awake, we are conscious and when we are asleep, we are unconscious. Consciousness is a state of being, but it is also a decision to choose to bring old memories and/or traumas into our conscious being. We may have buried them because it’s what we were taught or we may have buried them so that we could merely survive. Neither are wrong.

As we progress in our work together, whether we decide to work together one-on-one or whether you decide to work through The Frontier Inside through my eCourse, you will start to face some of what you have buried in your subconscious. This is the work that is the key to unlocking old patterns, reactivity, sabotaging relationships, irrational fears and more. As I said before, this work is not easy, but for those who are determined to not let their past or their familial past hold them back, it is absolutely the way forward into your purpose and most divine and aligned self.

Dancing in the Light

Often times this sub-conscious work is referred to as “shadow work”. If you have been raised in certain faith traditions, this term, “shadow”, may scare some. Let’s revisit the 5th word in this paragraph because I wrote it intentionally. Sub-conscious: The prefix “sub”, as defined by Merriam-Webster means “under”, “beneath” or “below”. Those words are all below the surface where the light is harder to reach. It is not absent of light – because where there is light, there are shadows. When we delve into shadow work, we are exploring that consciousness that has been pushed down and/or intentionally ignored for (typically) decades.

If you have ever lived in a basement though, or if you have Seasonal Affective Disorder (or know someone who does), you know that you cannot stay in a place with limited light for enormous amounts of time. It is important that when you reach moments where you know it’s time to step into the light, you do so.

What is the point in searching for a buried treasure if you don’t take time to celebrate after you find it? Celebrate by taking a trip, explore your new found skills that were unlocked in your exploration to the frontiers buried in your subconscious. If you have found your purpose in life that you have felt was hidden your entire life, create a plan. How do you execute your purpose? Who will you take along with you? There is a call for all things in our lives to be in balance.

If you are ready to dig into the beauty of the work that I do with my clients, I want to encourage you to connect with me. Women, you are welcome to get to know me a little better by joining me in my Daughters of Earth ™ Facebook Community. There is no fee to join, but I do go live from time to time to share some of the wisdom I’ve gained through my decades of work in this area. I so look forward to connecting with you.
